The minister presidents Erdogan and Papadreou visit Mikis Theodorakis

Prime Minister Erdogan visited Athens in the efforts for peace between Greece and Turkey. He did not forget the musician Mikis Theodorakis.

ATHENS – Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Mikis Theodorakis at his home , during his visit to Athens, in an intensive program.

The Greek Prime Minister Papandreou and his wife also joined the two leaders.

Turkish-Greek relations have been the most difficult in the 1980s.

Mikis Theodorakis took  much effort for the Turkish-Greek friendship, together with Livaneli ( http://www.livaneli.gen.tr/?d=e )   It was Mikis’s dream to realize the friendship between the two countries. The concert serial with Livaneli, organized to promote his dream, (1986)  has been very successful.
